The Crippled Man

Hey Bloggers, today we had to use adobe spark to create a voiceover of the story we wrote earlier in the week. The story we wrote was about a man on the edge of his bed hunched over and thoughtfully thinking about something. have you ever used adobe spark before?

Imaginative Isometrics

Hey Readers, today I made different isometric shapes. An Isometric shape is a 3d shape that has 3 different views, birds eye, front and side view. We were given 5 connectible blocks to make any shape and we had to shade a side. After we had done 3 different formations we were given another 5 blocks to make more shapes. The dots on the page helped us to draw them and it was quite hard as we needed to draw it in 3d. Have you ever made drawn 3d isometric shapes?

The Traumatic Twits

Kia ora Bloggers,

This week we have been looking carefully at making inferences when we read or watch something.

An inference is when we take clues from a text or image, and
add them to our thoughts or prior knowledge and make an inference.
For example, when I look at this photo, I might make the inference that
this photo was taken in a food factory as everyone is wearing hair
nets and this is required in all food factories.

What’s going on in this picture? Look closely at the image above or view it in a larger size, then tell us what you see by posting a comment. On Thursday afternoon, we will reveal more about the image and its origins at the bottom of this post.

The text that we read a snippet out of ‘The Twits’ by Roald Dahl.
Once we had read the first few chapters where they described the main characters, Mr and Mrs Twit, we then had to make some inferences based on the clues that Roald Dahl had given in the text.

I used Google Draw to create a display of my inferences I have made about Mr and Mrs Twit.

Have you read The Twits before? Do you agree with my inferences? What inferences would you make about the characters?

See you next time!

Dancing Dinosaurs

Hey Readers, today I made a dinosaur enclosure in Minecraft. The task was to create an enclosure for an animal any way you like being either digitally, draw it, or make the enclosure with cardboard. I chose to do it digitally on Minecraft. It is a triceratops enclosure with a viewing area and also up top is were the mangers of the enclosure control the triceratops and feed them from. Have you ever made an animal enclosure in Minecraft?

Playful Plane Crash

Hey Readers, today I made an animation on how Roald Dahl got into a plane crash in Libya. He was very unlucky that the 8o squadron had got the wrong coordinates and he had to land by himself. he looked for a space to land and he thought that one was fine but turned out there were rocks underneath the sand and he nose-dived into them. Have you ever read one of Roald Dahl's books before?

Birdhouse Bananza

Hey Readers, today I made a birdhouse as part of our tech activities that we need to do. I chose to do a birdhouse because a lot of our little birds that come onto our grass get attacked by hungry magpies that try to get them. Do you have a birdhouse in your backyard?
